Bramm, Merceda (Marriage - 28 Oct. 1944)
On Oct. 28 at ten o’clock a.m. at the rectory in Athens occurred the marriage of Pfc. Clifton Fladvid of the Army, and Miss Merceda Bramm of Milwaukee. Rev. Norman Thomas of St. Anthony’s Catholic church officiated. The attendants were Miss Mary Ann Bramm, maid of honor and sister of the bride. Walter Fladvid, brother of the groom, was best man. Miss Helen Heier of Wausau was bridesmaid and Sgt. Joe Zellener of the Army was groomsman.
The bride wore a white satin dress with net, a pearl necklace, a gift of the groom, a finger tip veil of tulle and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The maid of honor and bridesmaid wore white taffeta gowns and pearl necklaces, a gift from the bride, and carried yellow chrysanthemums. A reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Fladvid. The bride will stay with the groom’s parents for the time being, and the groom will return to the Selrich hospital at Clinton, Ia.
